The width comparison comes first
This is not simply the grey version of the black 10M offer: its title changes M to W as well. If the reason for shopping is side pressure, comparing the same numerical size across those width choices may be more informative than immediately increasing length. It still cannot predict whether the different width will retain your heel or provide enough vertical room around the cap.
The athletic platform to investigate
The manufacturer’s low Intercept page identifies flex grooves in the sole and a cemented construction. These explain why the model belongs in an athletic work-shoe comparison instead of being judged only by its steel toe. They do not provide a measured advantage over every leather boot or guarantee suitability for every floor.
Grey/Red choices are not all the same size
The Grey/Red 11W is longer by its label; Grey/Red 10.5M changes both length and width category. Use those distinctions deliberately. Choosing whichever looks identical in the product image can obscure the very fit dimension you meant to change.
For a uniform that accepts Grey/Red, the color can be a final preference once the correct width is available. If a plain black upper is mandatory, locate an accepted black size-10 wide configuration rather than buying 10M and hoping the color requirement compensates for inadequate space. The safety and fit questions remain independent of the appearance choice.
