Traditional construction, different finish
The manufacturer documents a Goodyear-welted rubber outsole and an oil-tanned leather upper for Traditional Welt. Those are the relevant family characteristics. The supplied title does not establish that Brick Bison changes the sole, cushioning system or toe protection compared with light brown.
If a listing offers several finishes under one page, read the selected item name after choosing the size. The right photograph is helpful, but the style code and width on the order are better evidence that the seller is supplying the intended pair.
Fit the lacing to the job
A six-inch lace-up allows more adjustment across the top of the foot than a slip-on Wellington. Use that adjustment to achieve a secure heel without pulling the upper painfully tight. Toe clearance still depends on the boot’s shape and size; laces cannot make a narrow cap wider.
Consider how often you kneel or crouch. The leather should bend with the foot without the front of the cap contacting the toes. Test those movements on a clean indoor surface while a return remains possible.
What Brick Bison does not establish
An oil-tanned finish is not proof of a waterproof membrane. If wet ground is a regular part of the shift, compare an explicitly waterproof Carhartt model instead of assuming darker leather will solve it. The current Traditional Welt family page also cannot guarantee which standards revision appears on older marketplace stock, so verify the delivered label for workplace use.
