A waterproof Western work boot
Irish Setter specifies full-grain waterproof leather, a removable polyurethane footbed and a steel shank for Marshall 83912. UltraDry is the named waterproof system. This is a useful distinction from Western work boots that offer a leather upper and steel toe without a documented waterproof build.
The pull-on shaft removes lace adjustment from the equation. Its appeal is a single boot opening and tall coverage, but buyers who depend on independently tightening the instep and ankle may prefer a lace-up alternative. The square external toe shape does not establish that every foot will have adequate room inside the protective cap.
Understand the outsole claims
The official model page identifies a Rubber-RPM Roper outsole and an HRO designation. Irish Setter describes HRO as resistance to melting in a specified hot-surface test, not permission to stand indefinitely on hot equipment or a guarantee against burns. Treat that as a model specification to compare with the workplace requirement.
Goodyear welt construction also gives this model a different build from cemented Wellingtons. If future repair matters, ask a qualified repair service what work is appropriate for this safety boot before assuming any resole will preserve its protective performance. Against the Wolverine Floorhand 10-inch pull-on, the Marshall offers a different shaft height, outsole and construction rather than simply a different logo. Compare those actual features before paying more for Western styling.
